Just weeks left for Americans to get $330 one-time payment from massive pot – and you can file a claim without a receipt
YOU could be eligible for a one-time payment from a $1.175 million settlement fund.
Residents of Illinois who have had their fingerprints scanned with a CenterEdge payment system could be eligible for a check.

It comes after CenterEdge has reached a preliminary agreement to resolve claims made against the company in a class-action lawsuit.
The company allegedly violated the state’s Biometric Information Privacy Act by not getting consent before collecting fingerprints and other biometric information from its point-of-sale systems.
The company’s systems are used at large attractions including waterparks and amusement parks.
In agreeing to the $1.175 million settlement, CenterEdge has not admitted any wrongdoing.
Eligible class members have been split into two groups.
Some will not have to take any action while others have just weeks to file their claim.
Under the terms of the settlement, claimants will get an equal share of the fund.
The value of each payment is estimated to be between $230 and $330.
Class members who are part of the first group will not need to file a claim form as they have already been identified by their employers as having scanned their fingerprints into the systems.
These people will have received a notice about the settlement and will receive a payment if they take no action.
Meanwhile, the second group of class members have to file a form if they wish to receive cash.
These are “people who scanned one or more fingers at a Sky Zone Trampoline Park located in Elmhurst, Aurora, or Joliet, Illinois,” the settlement website states.
Group two includes people who worked at any of the named Sky Zone Trampoline parks.
To file a claim, class members will need to price that between April 29, 2014, and March 20, 2024, they scanned their fingerprint on the system at least once.
Claim forms can be submitted here.
Eligible members from Group Two have until June 24 to file the form.
What's a class-action settlement?
Class action lawsuits offer groups of people, or 'classes,' a way to band together in court.
These suits are often brought by one or a few people who allege a company or other entity has wronged a large group of people.
When a suit becomes a class action, it extends to all “class members,” or people who may have similar complaints to those who filed the suit.
Companies often settle class actions – offering payment to class members who typically waive their right to pursue further legal action by accepting money.
These payout agreements frequently include statements by the defendant denying wrongdoing. Companies tend to settle class actions to avoid the costs of further litigation.
Pollution, discrimination, or false advertising are a few examples of what can land a class action on a company’s doorstep.
However, action has to be taken by June 10 if claimants do not want their legal rights to be affected.
This is the deadline to object to the settlement or opt out of it.
By opting out, eligible class members retain their rights to bring legal action against the company over the same allegations in the future.
These people will not receive a payment from the settlement.
However, those who are from Group Two and who fail to opt out or file a claim will forfeit their legal rights and will not receive a payment.
A final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for August 21.
