Doctors star Ian Midlane has revealed that the final scenes he shot for the BBC soap have aired this week.
The star has played Dr. Al Haskey in the now axed daytime drama since 2012, with the final episode slated to air in less than a month’s time.
Director Niall Fraser confirmed the news on X: ‘Update for doctors fans. The final episode will now transmit on November 14th.’
‘There had been a scheduled break with final ep then being Dec 5th. The break was cancelled and it is now NOVEMBER 14th Apologies for the confusion.’
Cameras stopped rolling on the show’s production base – which is part of the University of Birmingham campus in Selly Oak – in March.
Metro understands that the sets have since been removed, and the site handed back to the uni.

Now Ian has reflected on feeling ‘weird’ after seeing the show come to an end.
Taking to social media, he quoted the official Doctors account, adding: ‘Weird to see this episode going out. It was pretty much the last thing I shot.’
‘I think there’s a Podcast episode still to broadcast but for me this was it. Fade out on a long story arc of the handsome chap with the glasses and the trainers.’

‘Much love. Haskey out.’
As the show films out of sequence, meaning scenes are shot in blocks rather than chronologically, Ian has suggested that this isn’t the last we’ve seen of Al on our screens.
Last week he was all smiles when pictured reuniting with former co-stars Kia Pegg, Sarah Moyle and Dido Miles in Belfast.
The group were seen to be visiting the Titanic Museum, as well as seeing Ian’s actress partner Caoimhe Farren in a production of ‘Yerma’ at the Lyric Theatre.
