Bucks Co. Trump Store Sees Spike In Business After Conviction
BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —Fans are flocking to owner Mike Domanico's store in droves since ex-President Donald Trump's conviction last Thursday on 34 felony charges in his criminal hush money trial.That's because the store is named the Trump Store. And it's following is off the charts these past few days."It's been crazy since the verdict Thursday," Domanico told Patch Thursday. "Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The store has been mobbed. I expected to get a bump. But I never expected this."It's the first-ever criminal case against a former U.S. president, and even as Trump still faces charges in three other cases, his sentencing in the hush money case is scheduled for July 11 — just four days before he's set to officially become the nominee for president at the Republican National Convention.Domanico opened the store on 2060 Street Rd. near Knights Road a little more than four years ago. He had started selling Trump T-shirts at a kiosk in the Neshaminy Mall around Christmas time. Ever since he mentioned Trump to a landlord, he had trouble finding a storefront.But that was then. And with Thursday's verdict, he just needs to keep up with the inventory of T-shirts, hats, and "everything Trump" from vanishing off the shelves. "People are buying everything with Trump on it," he said, adding that the 'Free Trump' T-shirts have been the hot seller. "Even Joe Biden toilet paper."Domanico, who runs the store with his wife Monica, said he expects sales to continue at a steady pace for months until the presidential election in November and beyond."They rally the base," he said. "I never seen people so mad after the verdict. When something big comes out in the news, it gets really busy. It will be crazy every day."The article Bucks Co.
