I was flagged down by lifeguards because of my wardrobe malfunction – when it happened again, they brought me a towel
A SWIMMER was left red-faced when a lifeguard had to save them from something other than drowning while in the water.
If no one had been around to help, they wouldn’t have been able to exit the swimming pool with their “dignity.”

The swimmer shared their embarrassing wardrobe malfunction on Reddit’s Swimming forum, which has almost 400,000 members.
They shared two photos of their swimming bottoms that looked damaged beyond repair.
“I’ve never had a wardrobe malfunction when lane swimming until 2024 but I’ve had two in less than a year,” they said, writing under the handle TempestIII.
“On both occasions, my arse has been hanging out [laughing].
“At least it’s the back and not the front haha.”
The Redditor said they put their swimwear on at home before a 20-minute drive to the pool each morning.
They shared the humiliation of having the lifeguard flag their wardrobe woe in front of other swimmers.
“The first time it happened, I embarrassingly didn’t notice so the lifeguards had to flag me down while I was mid-workout,” they said.
“At least this time, I noticed the hole myself and flagged a lifeguard to get a lost property towel so that I could exit the pool with some dignity!”
Many people upvoted the post and joked that the size of the Redditor’s bum was causing the problem.
“That’s the price for packing cake,” one person said.
“Bros got a bakery back there,” another commented.
MORE MISHAPS
The mortifying wardrobe malfunction comes after another Redditor vented about a fashion failure.

Posting under the handle Aero5, a woman told how she dropped a chocolate chip on her lap while eating a snack at her desk.
She said it looked like “dried period blood” when it melted between her thighs on her white pants.
She rushed out of the office to buy a replacement pair of pants in the hopes that her co-workers wouldn’t notice the mishap.
However, “no less than three or four men” in the office commented on her wardrobe change so she threw her pants away in a “fit of rage.”
A response to the post came from someone who had a similar situation when they dropped a blueberry on their light-colored jeans.
Others confessed to being humiliated when buttons accidentally came undone, or they stepped out of the house unaware that their outfit was see-through.
