Election Day 2024: Griffin Takes Another Shot At Curran, Assembly
ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — Election Day is Nov. 5, and voters in part of Nassau County will decide if a former Assemblywoman will be sent back to Albany. Judy Griffin (D-Rockville Centre) lost her reelection bid in 2022 to Republican Brian Curran by just 138 votes, according to Ballotpedia. In getting the general election rematch with Curran for the 21st Assembly District, Griffin won 84 percent of the vote against her Democratic challenger Patricia Maher in this year's primary, Ballotpedia said. Griffin was first elected to the Assembly in 2018.Curran is in his second stint as Assemblyman. He was elected in 2010, serving until 2018.
