Not the dog days just yet. It ain’t the dog days just yet and Summer League gives us a good look at some of the guys we’ll be watching in Brooklyn and/or Long Island this upcoming season. The Nets are 2-1 thus far under assistant coach Steve Hetzel, who took Jordi Fernandez’s seat — currently coaching Team Canada in the Olympics.
One particular player that’s stood out for the Nets? Keon Johnson.
“I think Keon could be a nightmare defensively,” said Summer League head coach Steve Hetzel who worked with KJ a “We challenged him to be the absolute best defender out here in summer league and he’s taken the challenge. He is an incredible athlete, but he can really sit down and guard.”
