B&M slashes price of gadget ‘perfect for garden’ from £69 to £20 as shoppers cry ‘I want one’
B&M has drastically cut the price of a gadget which shoppers say is “perfect for the garden” and they want to get their hands on one.
The popular discount store is currently selling a Goodmans “mini projector” for just £20, with the usual retail price being £69.

A bargain hunter recently spotted the deal and went onto the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group of Facebook to share the news.
They wrote: “Scanned through the till & on the app at £20!!”
The post was a big hit with other savvy shoppers who were excited by the prospect of snapping up a deal.
One person simply wrote “I want one,” and tagged a couple of friends too.
Another, who also tagged a pal, said: “Good for garden.”
While a third added: “This is what I’ve been dying for.”
A fourth posted: “Bargain.”
Of course, do bear in mind that the item is likely reduced by this much because it’s the end of the line and branches are clearing stock.
Elsewhere, other shoppers with an eye for a good deal have been racing to their nearest Dunelm to get their hands on a household staple scanning at tills at slashed prices.
The bargain retailer is selling Elements 30-litre Slim Bin for just £12.50.
Meanwhile, shoppers are rushing to fill their baskets with soft furnishings massively discounted from £185 to just £17.
Argos is currently selling plain blackout curtains from as little as £20, or ones which are fully-lined from £40.
The Mill Shop, which is also having a sale, has “Margo thermal lined velour eyelet curtains” for £9, down from the usual price of £36.
Prices of Marks & Spencer ready-made curtains appear to start at £30.
One of Ikea‘s best-selling curtains, the Bengta, currently costs just £12.
B&M's current bargains
B&M’s garden centres currently have a whole host of bargains on offer.
For example, the tropical retreat curve plants have been reduced from £20 to £6 and B&M decorative plant feeder is not just £1.
Shoppers have saved hundreds of pounds a year by using B&M’s scanner app.
The scanner lets you see if an item’s price is cheaper than advertised on the shop floor label.
Products that are typically discounted are seasonal items and old stock that B&M is trying to shift.
According to one ex-B&M manager, you’ll want to visit your local branch at 10am on a Wednesday too.
The Chillmax Go Fan is on sale at most other retailers for £18 or more, but B&M has it in stock for £5 instead of £20.
The discount retailer was originally selling Surf Limited Edition Winter Indulgence Vanilla & Oud Liquid Detergent for £2.99 but has now reduced it by a whopping 96 per cent.
Remember you can find your nearest B&M branch by using the retailer’s store locator tool on its website.
Meanwhile, Aldi shoppers can get ready for the warm weather thanks to the discount supermarket’s with the return of its Garden Get Together range available from May 16.
Shoppers can pick up all the essentials for hosting a garden party, including BBQs, cocktail shakers, folding recliners and solar lights to decorate the outdoor space for summer hosting.
According to Aldi, prices will be starting from just £2.99, available in stores next week.
How to compare prices to get the best deal
JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn't mean it's always a good deal.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.
Here are some that we recommend:
Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
