The fans were surprised to see a post on X claiming that Samson will join RCB in the IPL 2025 mega-auction. And even if they release Hijm, there is no guarantee that RCB will be able to sign him as Samson will enter the auction. The auction dynamics depend on number of factors and a team sometimes misses out on buying the players it wants even if the owners have enough budget.Interestingly, RCB tried to sign Samson in the IPL 2018 mega-auction but RR amde the winning bid for him worth Rs 8 crore. In 2021, he was named RR's captain and Samson has been leading them since then.Recently, The Indian Express reported that RR have decided to retain Samson along with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag. The franchises can release the official list only on October 31.The post on Samson on X seems to be fake and he will not be confirmed to join RCB even if he leaves RR. Samson made his IPL debut for RR in 2013 and played for them till 2015. He joined Delhi Capitals for IPL 2016 and 2018. Samson made his return to RR in 2018 and was retained before the IPL 2022 mega-auction. RR lost to Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2022 final.
