Taco Bell’s breakfast is a go-to for many thanks to its tasty, filling, and inexpensive options. But soon fans of the Tex-Mex chain may need to say goodbye to their sausage quesadilla and bacon crunchwrap and head elsewhere for their morning meal. That’s because starting this fall, some Taco Bell locations will no longer serve breakfast, taking its beloved cheesy toasted burritos and crispy hash browns away from adoring fans. Here’s everything we know about the upcoming change. Taco Bell Is Removing Breakfast Menus at Some Locations
Taco Bell recently stated that some of its franchise-owned restaurants will no longer serve breakfast, to help “streamline” menus. The change is set to happen in October and will impact various locations throughout the nation. The total number of restaurants impacted by this change hasn't been revealed, but we do know that 500 company-owned restaurants (not franchises) will continue to offer a breakfast menu."Taco Bell is constantly evolving our menu to better serve our franchisees, team members, and fans," the company told USA Today. "With that said, breakfast will continue to be served in the majority of Taco Bell restaurants as only a small minority have opted out of serving breakfast.”The company added that they realize their breakfast options are popular with many consumers since they are “simple yet craveable” and that the breakfast menu’s ”performance continues to improve through Q2 2024,” which is why breakfast will still be offered in those company-owned locations. Why Are Some Taco Bell Locations No Longer Serving Breakfast?Taco Bell explains the reason behind this change in certain locations is to support the growth of its franchises by focusing on what each local community wants rather than what the company thinks it should serve. This also allows new daytime menu items to shine, such as the Cantina Chicken Menu. The Taco Bell locations that will no longer serve breakfast will still open at 9 am or earlier but will serve “the rest of the menu” instead of traditional breakfast options. One morning must-have will remain on the menu, however: coffee. In fact, the company is set to "ramp up" its coffee program, and those locations still serving breakfast will reportedly be testing out new menu items. Read the original article on All Recipes.
