Michael Strahan is a true success story for changing careers. He had a highly successful football career with the New York Giants for fifteen seasons. After his retirement, he changed course and became a television personality. He was the co-host of Live With Kelly from 2012 until 2016. He left the daytime talk show to focus on Good Morning America full-time.
In a surprising move, the news anchor revealed his latest career move: He’s joining Shark Tank for its upcoming seventeenth season. Keep reading to find out more.

Michael Strahan became a full-time co-anchor on the morning news program in 2016 after serving as a contributor for years. Many viewers love the chemistry between the three main anchors, Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, and Michael Strahan. However, rumors have persisted for a while that ABC wants to shake things up and bring in new faces.

Michael Strahan Joins Shark Tank Season 17
Michael Strahan is always open to new opportunities. He has been hosting The $100,000 Pyramid game show at ABC since 2016. Fans were hoping that his next move would be on the dance floor for the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars.
But it seems he set his sights on a different primetime reality show. Shark Tank has been a staple of ABC’s Friday night schedule. The business-themed reality show started in 2009. Would-be entrepreneurs hoping to get rich pitch their business ideas to a panel of wealthy investors.
Billionaire Mark Cuban was a panelist on the show from Season 2 until recently. He announced that he was leaving after Season 16.
Daniel Lubetzky, who was a frequent guest panelist, was promoted to full-time to replace Mark Cuban for the upcoming Season 17. He joins the other regular panelists Barbara Corcoran, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John, and Kevin O’Leary.
Michael Strahan announced on Good Morning America that he will make a guest appearance on Shark Tank in the new season.
“I was really nervous, but once you get there, they’re amazing. They make you feel great. They really show you the ropes. I had a great time,” he said about his stint, which was already filmed.
According to GMA, other celebrity guests appearing on Shark Tank Season 17 include Alexis Ohanian, Chip and Joanna Gaines, Kendra Scott, and Allison Ellsworth.
