Kim Kardashian’s Latest Interview Cements Her as an Actress But Is Already Causing Quite a Stir
By now, we all know that reality star and shapewear founder Kim Kardashian dipped her toes into acting for the first time in American Horror Story: Delicate. Starring alongside Emma Roberts, the mom of four is playing high-power publicist Siobhan. But while the show has Kardashian as number two on the call sheet, the world isn’t ready to call her an actress just yet.
After all, the internet is in a frenzy right now as Kardashian was announced as one of the 24 actors participating in Variety’s annual Actors on Actors. On May 29, the outlet announced the full lineup on Instagram, including Jodie Foster chatting with Robert Downey Jr., Anthony Mackie talking to Tyler James Williams and Kardashian talking to Feud: Capote vs. The Swans star Chloë Sevigny.
In the comments, users weren’t afraid to speak their minds. “Kim Kardashian is not an actor so not sure why she’s on there,” wrote one commenter. “You should be ashamed of slide 3,” wrote another commenter, referring to the picture of her and Sevigny. “Please not Kim and the queen of cool miss Chloe Sevigny, Chloe deserved better!!!!” wrote another.

But while most comments are against Kardashian, some defended the star. “Idk why people are always so fast to hate on and judge Kim, obviously she isn’t an experienced actor but she’s trying, everyone has to start somewhere,” wrote one Kardashian fan. “So she’s probably gonna talk about what it’s like being new to this part of the industry and how she wants to take it seriously, give her some grace.”
“Did everyone forget that Kim K the lead of AHS?” wrote another.

And, according to People, Kardashian won’t have the horror series as her only acting credit for long. Per the outlet, she’s set to appear in an upcoming thriller film written by Gossip Girl screenwriter Natalie Krinsky. “Krinsky is writing a script based on an original idea and created the idea for the upcoming film with Kardashian in mind to star,” People details.
In November, Deadline also confirmed Kardashian is involved in another upcoming movie, a comedy named The 5th Wheel. The project, in which Kardashian would both star and produce, is being scripted by Paula Pell and Janine Brito.
“I think it’s really fun to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new and grow,” Kardashian told Marie Claire about her adventure into acting. “I’m so excited for the experience.” Kudos to her for experiencing it fully!
