Tyson Fury's stance revealed as date for Oleksandr Usyk rematch officially confirmed
Tyson Fury believes he can be a better fighter when he locks horns with Oleksandr Usyk later in the year, according to promoter Frank Warren.It has been confirmed the two men will battle again on December 21, having clashed earlier this month.Fury performed well against Usyk and was certainly far better than in his narrow win over Francis Ngannou in October.Yet he still lost, with Usyk winning via split decision after wobbling his rival in the ninth round of their bout.Warren, speaking to Sky Sports, has claimed Fury thinks he can do better after suffering his first defeat as a professional."I think he can, he believes he can," he said."The truth of the matter is there was a point in the fight, I think at the end of the seventh round when he caught Usyk with a couple of really good uppercuts and he was struggling a bit, but he went back to the corner and found a second wind and came out and caught Tyson with a really good shot on the nose."It seemed to trouble Tyson a bit, it took his momentum away a bit, obviously we know what happened in the ninth."It was a fight of two halves, Tyson knows what he has to do and I'm sure Usyk does. I thought there was a lot wrong with it, but that’s my opinion."I think they got the tactics wrong and the game plan all wrong and that’s what I think of it, but still it was a good fight to watch.“I can see what people are saying but did Tyson have it in his tank to come out and give an avalanche of shots or was he so tired he was getting through it?”
