Victor Conte Dismisses FBI Probe Demand on VADA as a “Nonsensical Conspiracy”
Victor Conte and his sports nutrition brand, SNAC, have been part of various controversies over the years. The 74-year-old has an ongoing controversy with Ryan Garcia after the latter failed a drug test following his victory against Devin Haney. Garcia tested positive for ostarine, a performance-enhancing drug that VADA (Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency) has banned. The Victorville native pleaded innocence and accused Conte of manufacturing the test result due to his close association with Haney. Garcia also brought up Conte’s infamous BALCO steroid scandal which involved big names Barry Bonds and Marion Jones.
Since then, the SNAC has tried to keep a low profile, but a recent comment by anti-doping consultant, Angel ‘Memo’ Heredia Hernandez, has stirred up the controversy once again as he demanded an FBI investigation into the sports nutrition brand. Rather than sitting back idly and letting his organization be attacked, Conte fiercely replied to all the accusations.
What is “coming soon” for VADA boxers Memo?
Hernandez started the controversy by slamming VADA, expressing his belief that it is a biased and incompetent agency. He further claimed that the tests were lies and even attacked the running structure of the organization claiming that incompetent people run it at the top. “@Vada_Testing in my opinion is biggest lie in boxing,no transparency, bias testing & incompetent testing protocols, can’t expect much when its run by an incompetent, bias & slanderous Goodman,I ll see you soon”court,” claimed the consultant.

This comment was picked up by the Brunch Boxing podcast, which even invited Hernandez to talk more about the subject matter. ‘Memo’ acknowledged the reply and stated that VADA should be investigated by the FBI because of all the recent and past issues. He was referencing the Ryan Garcia drug test fiasco. He was not done as he claimed that there was something ‘coming soon’ for all the boxers associated with VADA.
However, Victor Conte refused to let this slide as he angrily hit out terming the controversy “nonsense.” Conte even drew parallels between Memo’s conspiracy theories to Ryan Garcia’s past rants. “This nonsensical conspiracy stuff being spewed by Memo kind of reminds me of the nonsense @ryangarcia was spewing after his positive drug test. Can’t wait to see what’s “coming soon” to boxers from @guruscience & what should be “investigated by @FBI….” Is it the real Memo Time?”

This is not all. Victor Conte went further and defended VADA’s role in boxing.
Victor Conte defends VADA
The 74-year-old has been associated with the voluntary anti-doping organization since its initial days. The owner of SNAC Nutrition has always supported the organization’s work as he is “committed to working against drug-related cheaters.”
Victor Conte was furious over the allegations made by Hernandez against VADA. He called for transparency from ‘Memo’ regarding his statements and demanded an explanation for his threats. “Boxing thrives on transparency, Memo. Please explain why you’re so upset about something that was said. Why is @guruscience so worked up about @vada_testing?”
Conte, a long-time supporter of the anti-doping agency, called for transparency and accountability from Hernandez, refuting any claims of wrongdoing. As tensions rise, this controversy highlights the ongoing debate surrounding doping regulations in boxing.
