Mr. Osomatsu Season 4 in Production from Pierrot Films
A fourth season of the long-running Mr. Osomatsu comedy TV anime series is in production, with Pierrot Films taking over the animation production from Pierrot. More details about the fourth season will be announced at a later date.
The production of season four was confirmed in a short 26-second announcement video, which also revealed the return of the six main voice cast members for the series.
The main six voice cast members for the anime include:
• Takahiro Sakurai as Osomatsu
• Yuuichi Nakamura as Karamatsu
• Hiroshi Kamiya as Choromatsu
• Jun Fukuyama as Ichimatsu
• Daisuke Ono as Jyushimatsu
• Miyu Irino as Todomatsu
The Mr. Osomatsu anime series has released three seasons that premiered in 2015, 2017, and 2020. Crunchyroll is currently streaming all seasons. The franchise has also spawned various anime shorts, manga, a 2017 video game, a 2016 novel, and a 2022 live-action film.
The Eiga no Osomatsu-san anime film was released in Japan in 2019. Two more anime films were released in 2022 and 2023, respectively. A short 12-episode anime spinoff series titled Matsuinu also debuted in 2023.
Mr. Osomatsu is inspired by the 1962 Osomatsu-kun gag manga series by the late Fujio Akatsuka, which revolves around the younger Matsuno sextuplets.
