Coronation Street fans spot huge blunder after identity of Lauren’s killer is revealed
THE mystery of Who Killed Lauren Bolton on Coronation Street has left fans on the edge of their sofas for months.
But now that the killer’s identity has finally been uncovered this week, avid viewers of the ITV soap, have pointed out some continuity errors within the storyline.

Lauren disappeared in February 2024 leaving evidence of having been brutally attacked and murdered. The teenager went missing after being fired from her job at Roys Rolls by the boss Roy, which then prompted a police search.
When police searched the flat they found evidence of a struggle and they launched a murder inquiry after finding a bloodied weapon.
In the end her former boss Roy was charged with murder, after detectives were convinced he was a sex pest who’d paid Lauren, played by Cait Fitton, for sex and then murdered her in a frenzied panic.
He was charged and jailed at Weatherfield Police Station, until a missing necklace led police to the real culprit.
In throwback scenes that aired last night, Joel Deering (Callum Lill) was shown to have left the body in the flat.
But now fans are alluding to holes in the storyline and are asking where the body is and whether Lauren is still alive.
Writing on social media in response to last nights nail-biting scenes. One said: “Very good episode….so Joel was the boyfriend that kept showering her with gifts!!!great storyline but is Lauren dead ???or did he hide her body!!!!”
Another said: “So is Lauren actually dead”
Another said: “What did he actually do with the body as he left without it.”
Meawhile another said: “I knew it was Joel, now I want to know where the body is”
On May 30, 2024, Corrie finally confirmed who killed Lauren Bolton.
The truth about what happened to the teenager emerged when Hope Dobbs reluctantly returned a gold necklace that she had found in solicitor Joel Deering’s car while she was cleaning it.
A flashback then revealed that Joel had brutally attacked Lauren in her flat and took the necklace Hope found from her.
In an emotional ending Roy( David Nielson) was met at the prison gates by his niece Nina Lucas (Molly Gallagher) and both actors were praised by fans for their believable performances.
