Fire District Conducts Prescribed Burn In Sleepy Hollow

LAMORINDA, CA — The Moraga-Orinda Fire District was planning to conduct a prescribed burn Friday and warned residents it may send smoke their way.If conditions remained favorable, firefighters were expected to start burning the last 12 piles of cut material around 9 a.m. at the end of Dalewood Drive in the Sleepy Hollow area of Orinda. "Some smoke may be visible to residents in surrounding neighborhoods," MOFD said in a Facebook post. "Residents are advised to close exterior doors and windows to keep smoke from entering their homes."Location of Friday's burn.
