Despite Rick Ross’ Plea for Miami to Tank for Shedeur Sanders, Dolphins Surprise Everyone in Latest Mock Draft
The Colorado Buffaloes garnered constant attention with their flash on and off the field. This time it was rapper Rick Ross who went with rooting hard for the Buffs’ “Grown” QB Shedeur Sanders. Now that Deion Sanders’ son has reached the end of his college football chapter and will be soon off to the NFL, the rapper dropped in with his request to his favorite program. He tried to take the Miami Dolphins in confidence to tank the QB. But poor Shedeur! The latest mock draft did not consider Shedeur to be the right fit for Mike McDaniel’s squad. While the Dolphin struck off Shedeur’s name from their list, it opened the gates for another program.
Going by the Shedeur Sanders hype, it was pretty evident that he would be the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. But after he got pinned down badly against the Cornhuskers who sacked the Buffs QB five times, he got snubbed from the mock drafts too. On October 2, On3 Sports came up with another version and among the top-10 picks, Shedeur failed to earn himself a spot. This came off as a surprise, cause just a few days back, the rapper had raised an alarm for Miami.

Rapper Ross was spotted in the locker room right before the Colorado Buffaloes crushed the UCF Knights in a 21-48 heroic feat. After coming from the massive celebration, the rapper had some special message for the fans. “All right. This is for the Dolphins fans. This is for the real supporters. As a true Dolphin fan…this is the fastest man in the league…let him run up the damn field,” pleaded Ross. But what made him so desperate? After all, Shedeur holds an impressive record through his first five games this season- 1,630 passing yards, 14 touchdowns, and only three interceptions.
He thus suggested, “We’re not gonna do this season is go one and six and try to win the rest. If we gonna tank, we gonna tank all the way…let’s get Shedeur Sanders.” But he failed to convince Miami to reel in Shedeur. That’s natural because the Hurricanes are now aiming high for the playoffs and the idea of tanking might not sit well with their fanbase. So as the mock draft suggests, they might go with the Hurricanes QB Cam Ward. Poor Shedeur! But not to worry as better things await.
What’s next for Shedeur Sanders?
In case Shedeur had moved into the Dolphins hood, he would have been recruited as the replacement for their QB star Tua Tagovailoa. If so happened, it was natural for him to fall under pressure. After all, replacing the highest passer record would be no easy task. You must be wondering, then what’s next for Shedeur?
Well, there are chances of his father’s program Dallas Cowboys welcoming him with open arms. After all, he is the “apple of [Jerry] Jones’ eyes.” And what better timing to be the favorite of the Cowboys’ HC? Right now, Dallas is tangled in a QB hustle. It features none other than their QB Dak Prescott whose contract has reached as high as $240 million.
That’s going to surely burn the Cowboys’ pockets. The other QB Daniel Jones is bearing the burden of deep ball struggles. Right then, the Arrowhead Live dropped in with a bold claim, “Cowboys will move mountains to draft Shedeur Sanders.” No matter where he lands, Shedeur Sanders has nothing to worry about when his Papa Prime is there.
