Fall Trout Fishing Season Begins At Hidden Lakes
BOLINGBROOK, IL — Hidden Lakes Trout Farm in Bolingbrook will be closed on Friday, to prepare for the fall trout fishing season which begins on Saturday, according to the preserve.The portion of the DuPage River Trail that runs through Hidden Lakes will remain open. And the Tackle Box bait shop will be opens its normal Friday hours, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. But fishing will not be allowed in the lakes on Oct. 18, the preserve said.On Oct. 19, Hidden Lakes and the Tackle Box bait shop will open at 6 a.m. for the first day of trout fishing and a Trout Season Celebration program. Anglers who participate must have a fishing license and a state trout stamp and must follow all Illinois Department of Natural Resources and Forest Preserve regulations, the preserve said. The daily trout limit is five. After Oct. 19, the Tackle Box will be open its regular hours through Oct. 31, and it will close for the season starting Nov. 1, the preserve said. Hidden Lakes will be open at 6 a.m. for the remainder of October, but the road leading down to the site will close on Nov. 1 for the winter season.
