Campus ClimateThe Campus Climate initiative emerged in 2014 as a pressing issue through the Twin Cities campus strategic planning process. In collaboration with campus partners, this initiative aims to create a respectful and inclusive campus for all of our community members.Circle of Indigenous NationsThe Circle of Indigenous Nations (COIN) is a student support office that advances and advocates for the needs of American Indian/Native American, Alaska Native, and First Nations students at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.College MADECollege MADE provides individual colleges with data-driven approaches to increase representational diversity, improve campus climate, and create partnerships to grow diversity, equity, and inclusive excellence across our campuses. OCR offers confidential consultation, facilitation, mediation, and, for more formal disputes, a peer hearing process.Office for Supplier DiversityThe Office for Supplier Diversity fosters socio-economic empowerment in our communities through programs that create opportunities for business owners from underrepresented groups.Sexual Misconduct Hearing Committee and Hearing PanelsThe Sexual Misconduct Hearing Committee (SMHC) is comprised of trained individuals who serve on hearing panels in sexual misconduct cases.Sexual Misconduct Prevention ProgramThe Sexual Misconduct Prevention Program (SMPP) provides strategic coordination of the University’s sexual misconduct prevention and response activities in partnership with University stakeholders systemwide.Step Up ProgramStep Up is a Twin Cities-based partnership of the City of Minneapolis, the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development, and the Project for Pride in Living that provides summer internship opportunities for youth ages 14-21 from Minneapolis who have not yet enrolled in a post-secondary opportunity.U of M Faculty/Staff AssociationsFaculty/Staff Associations help make the University of Minnesota a more welcoming and inclusive place to work and learn by providing a space for faculty and staff to connect.U of M Juneteenth CelebrationEach year, the University of Minnesota hosts a Juneteenth Celebration block party and commemorative march in North Minneapolis.
