2 Parsippany Grads Make Jeopardy! Appearances This Month

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Two Parsippany High School alumni are appearing on Jeopardy! this month, stepping up to the podium in the long-running game show to test their skills and smarts against other contestants. Class of 2017 alum Daniel King's episode aired on Tuesday, May 7, and 2014 graduate Amar Kakirde is set to appear on Wednesday, May 22. Kakirde is currently completing a Masters degree in public policy at Yale, focusing on global affairs. King, a Brown University graduate, came in second on Tuesday's episode, with a final score of $3,998. He got the Final Jeopardy! question correct but had not amassed enough to get past Ohio native Allison Gross, a data scientist who also won the games that aired on Wednesday and Thursday. For local audiences, Jeopardy! airs Monday through Friday at 7 p.m. on ABC7 New York. The show, now hosted by Ken Jennings, is in its 40th season. The article 2 Parsippany Grads Make Jeopardy!
