“It was really difficult for me to say goodbye,” he said. “I hope I didn’t hurt her. That was not my intention. She is a wonderful woman. Now I’m watching and I see her saying she’s not worthy of love — she’s totally wrong. I think she is worthy of love, I just wasn’t able to give her what she was looking for at the time. I was too guarded.”
But now it seems like he is more open to love, stating, “I’m ready to bring down my walls.”
Pascal’s son, Maxim, ended up standing up in the audience to praise his father for being vulnerable on TV.
“My whole life you’ve always been my biggest inspiration [and] seeing you that vulnerable really showed me it’s OK to be vulnerable myself and show those feelings,” Maxim said. “Thank you for that dad.”

Joan came out onto the stage looking amazing as usual. “You are an incredible woman and I hope that by me leaving, you were able to find the right person for yourself,” Pascal told her. She candidly said that she had high hopes for her relationship with Pascal before it all came crumbling down.
“I pictured a life with you and I know that that Tahitian bonding ceremony was very uncomfortable for you, and I thought maybe in fantasy suites we could’ve figured out something in either direction, but you had already made up your mind,” she said. “You were very kind and I just want the best for you. I want you to be happy.”

Joan said that although there were some heartbreaking moments during her season of the show, including shocking breakups and discussions about the loss of loved ones, she has friendships with all of the men today.
As for how her journey ends, Joan teased that there are some big conversations to air in the finale episode with her final two guys, Guy Gansert and Chock Chapple.
“It was emotional and there are a lot of tears,” she said when facing the audience at the Men Tell All. “But I will tell you that some of them are happy tears.”
The Golden Bachelorette will air its finale on ABC on Wednesday, November 13, at 8 p.m. ET.
