Kaiju No. 8 Releases 1st Official Trailer for Smartphone & PC Game
Akatsuki Games has released the first official trailer for Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME — a new project that will be released on mobile and PC devices via Apple’s App Store, Google Play, and Steam.
The new trailer showcases several characters from the anime series such as the titular Kaiju No. 8 and Kikoru Shinomiya preparing to battle giant kaiju beasts.
A website for the video game was also launched shortly after the end of a countdown on Saturday.
Kaiju No.8 premiered on April 13, 2024 and is available to stream on Crunchyroll, bilibili, and X (formerly Twitter). A total of 12 episodes will be broadcasted.

The anime is based on the manga series by Naoya Matsumoto, which debuted in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ on July 3, 2020 and has released 12 tankobon volumes as of April 2024, with a 13th volume due out on July 4, 2024.
VIZ Media is releasing the Kaiju No. 8 manga series in English, describing the synopsis as:
Kafka hopes to one day keep his pact with his childhood friend Mina to join the Japan Defense Force and fight by her side. But while she’s out neutralizing kaiju as Third Division captain, Kafka is stuck cleaning up the aftermath of her battles. When a sudden rule change makes Kafka eligible for the Defense Force, he decides to try out for the squad once more. There’s just one problem — he’s made the Defense Force’s neutralization list under the code name Kaiju No. 8.
