Outdoor Swimming Pools Ready To Open For The Summer In Columbia
COLUMBIA, MD — Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial start of summer and many public pools and private swim club pools in Howard County will open for the season. If you're looking for an outdoor pool, Howard County has more than two dozen, including two mini water parks, as well as several private swim club pools where a membership is required.There also are indoor pool facilities in case the weather isn't cooperative one day this summer but you still really want to go for a swim. The Dancel Y in Ellicott City offers an indoor pool, which also requires a membership to use. The Nob Hill Swim Club in Ellicott City offers an outdoor pool and nearby playground for its members. The Hammond Park Pool is a private, non-profit community swim club, located in the Hammond Village neighborhood. The West Howard Swim Club is a private swim and tennis club located in Mount Airy. The Forest Hill Swim Club is full this year but residents can join their waitlist for next year.
