Drew Scott’s Son Parker Is ‘Rolling’ With Life as an Older Brother & He’s the Cutest Little Stinker
Some kids get jealous when their parents bring home a younger sibling, but Drew Scott and Linda Phan’s 2-year-old son Parker gets creative. The Property Brothers star just shared the first video since welcoming daughter Piper earlier this week, and it’s clear that Parker is taking advantage of how distracted his parents are right now.
“Which is more work … a toddler or a cat? Asking for a friend #parenting,” he quipped in the caption of his Instagram video today. The clip begins in the bathroom, where toilet paper is stretched out across the tile. Scott moves the camera to show that the toilet paper just keeps rolling and rolling. He steps in the frame and gives a weird look, then investigates where all the toilet paper is going. Did a cat get into it? Nope … just Parker!

At the end of the video, Parker was caught red-handed running down the hall with the toilet paper trailing behind him. He’s making a break for it!
The toddler has figured out a time-honored truth: they can get away with more when there are more kids in the house. “Oh, you’re feeding the baby or changing her diaper? That’s OK, now I get uninterrupted time playing in the bathroom!” Parker was probably thinking. (Hey Parker, just wait until your sibling is old enough to start blaming stuff on her. Then life really gets fun!) As a parent, if he’s not hurting anyone, not making an irreversible mess, or being too loud, then he’s fine. You can’t stress about every little thing now that you have to balance your energy between two kids!

Earlier this week, the Backed By The Bros star announced the birth of his baby girl. “Our family of 3 has become 4!” he wrote. “Piper Rae, I love you with all my heart ❤️.”

In an interview with TODAY published one day before Scott announced Piper’s birth, he opened up about taking paternity leave. “I have a baby coming, you know, we’re doing some prep now,” he told the outlet about promoting the show several weeks before the series’ June 5 premiere. “’They’re like, ‘Wait, but [Backed by the Bros] doesn’t launch until June 5.’ I’m like, ‘That’s because in another week, I’m MIA for a month and nobody’s talking to me. I’m focused on family.”

The HGTV star also opened up about their modern parenting style. “Linda and I are not traditionalists where we’re like, ‘Parker has to dress in blue, and if we have a girl, they have to dress in pink,’” Scott said. “Parker wears every color under the rainbow. And in fact, when I was a kid, it was the same [with me]. We were twins, but Jonathan [Scott] got blue for everything. I got every other color.”
In the same interview, Scott’s twin Jonathan shared, “It’s been the greatest social experiment in my life to see Drew realize that kids don’t care about your rules.”
At least Parker has already prepared Scott for that, so there’ll be no surprises when Piper gets older!
