One Coronation Street family are in for a shock in upcoming scenes when their secret relative arrives on the cobbles.
Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) is soon set to come face to face with her secret son, played by none other than Hollyoaks icon Jacob Roberts.
Jacob appeared as barman Damon Kinsella in the Channel 4 soap for six years before departing in 2023.
During his time on the show, he found out that Scott Drinkwell (Ross Adams) was his estranged older brother, who was placed up for adoption at birth, and before long the two dealt with the death of their mum Maggie (Michelle Holmes).

He also lied in court to save his paedophile father Buster Smith (Nathan Sussex) from facing prison time, but was caught out and charged with perjury.
Last June, he jetted off to New York for pastures new after being employed as a getaway driver in a botched bank heist.
His appearance on Coronation Street looks set to be just as dramatic, as Bernie is left worried that her son may have something to do with the disappearance of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton), who has been presumed murdered for several weeks.
Speaking to The Sun, a source said: ‘Jacob will be playing Bernie’s secret son – his dad, Denny, was abusive to him and Bernie.

‘So when her son appears, she’s worried he is a chip off the old block and has something to do with Lauren’s disappearance.’
Bernie’s son isn’t the first relative to re-enter her life, as recent scenes saw her abusive ex Denny arrive on the cobbles.
He explained that he had heard son Paul Foreman’s (Peter Ash) interview on the radio and wanted to see him, but it soon became clear how determined Bernie was to keep them apart when she told Denny that Paul had already died.

However, Denny didn’t believe her, and had soon reunited with his ill son.
When Bernie later asked Denny what he was doing in Weatherfield, he assured her that he just wanted to spend time with Paul, though she didn’t believe him.
