Pedestrian Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash In Downers Grove
DOWNERS GROVE, IL — Police are asking for the public's help finding a driver after a 65-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash in Downers Grove Thursday. Officers were called to the 600 block of Ogden Avenue around 9:10 p.m. after the woman was found dead. Police say a preliminary investigation suggests the woman was crossing the street when she was hit by an SUV that was heading west on Ogden. The SUV, described as a small to mid-size, dark-colored Honda or Acura, was last seen continuing west on Ogden. The Downers Grove Police Department is working with DuPage County's M.E.R.I.T. to reconstruct the crash during the ongoing investigation.Anyone with information about the crash is encouraged to contact the Downers Grove Police Department at 630-434-5600.
