‘Mama June’ Fans Disgusted In Ella’s Exploitation For Show

Mama June: Family Crisis fans are disgusted by the way that Josh and Pumpkin Efird’s daughter, Ella, is being exploited for the show. She is sharp as a tack and such a fun little spirit, often compared to a young Honey Boo Boo. So, what is happening to her that is so off-putting? Keep reading for more details.
Mama June Fans Disgusted In Ella’s Exploitation
Fans have followed Ella Efird since she was in Pumpkin Efird’s belly. They were there when she was born and arrived home thanks to the Mama June cameras. Over the last several years, viewers have watched Ella grow into a spunky little lady and a great big sister. She has the biggest personality and everyone loves her so much, often being compared to her aunt, Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson as a toddler. Unfortunately, her parents have decided to divorce, and they know that she needs to be told.

Pumpkin and Josh Efird asked their therapist how they should go about telling her, and they got some ideas. Toward the end of the Friday, June 20th episode of Family Crisis, Ella went to get ice cream with her parents. She was confused as to where her siblings were and why they were alone. They then started to say that they had something they needed to talk to her about. It appears that the rest of the conversation will air on the next episode, but fans were livid. They did not think it was right that Ella was told on camera rather than privately.
Mama June fans immediately chimed in and shared that they were tired of the show constantly exploiting the children. It started on Here Comes Honey Boo Boo with Alana, and then Anna Cardwell’s children have been filmed while their mother was dying. To do this for views and money was sickening, and they were sad to think that Ella would have to learn this on air. In fact, some hoped that it was just a false promo and it would be told off-camera.
Leave Ella Alone
Mama June: Family Crisis viewers are very protective of Ella Efird, and they did not want her to learn about her parents’ divorce this way. It should have been a private conversation where cameras were turned off for the day. Sadly, it does not appear that it happened. Now, Josh and Pumpkin Efird may have told Ella on their own and just had to recreate the moment for television. Either way, no one was happy about this and with good reason:
The family has no qualms with exploiting children from Anna’s grieving kids to now little Ella and the divorce. It’s sick how reality tv exploits children for views look at the stories Jon and Kate’s kids have to tell now. It’s all so sad.
What’s even worse is watching people publicly exploit children’s emotions when breaking bad news and there is no money involved.
Some fans compared the couple to Kate Gosselin and how she exploited her plethora of children. Others recalled how Pumpkin and Josh wanted to keep Ella away from all of this so she would not turn into Alana. That does not appear to be happening, and frankly, it is very tragic.
