1000-Lb. Sisters’ Amy Slaton Slammed for ‘Filthy’ Home With Cigarette Butts on the Floor: ‘CPS’
Fans slammed 1000-Lb. Sisters star Amy Slaton after viewers noticed cigarette butts littered throughout the floor of her “filthy” home, where she raises her two toddlers, Glenn and Gage.
Amy, 36, modeled a new dominatrix look — an all-black leather dress — for her sister Tammy Slaton in a clip of the show shared by the network on Friday, October 18. However, what caught fan’s attention was the condition her home was in. In the footage, the camera panned to show off garbage, cigarette butts and food waste thrown across her kitchen floor.
“No idea how CPS hasn’t taken her kids away. That house is filthy. Ridiculous,” one fan wrote in the comment section of the post. Meanwhile, another user added, “Oh not cigarette butts on the floor with little ones around.”
“Takes me back to the roach scene,” a third quipped.
This wasn’t the first time the mom of two was criticized by TLC viewers for a messy house. In the past, Amy was called out for her followers after a cockroach was spotted in the background of one of her YouTube uploads.
She addressed the cockroach incident, telling her fans she felt like a “bad mom” for having the critters in her home. “In the past, in my YouTube channels, a cockroach was in my video, and then the fans and haters seen it,” she said in a teary confessional during the series, as an insect crawled up the wall behind her. “People were hating on me so much that it just broke me.”
The 1000-Lb. Sisters star admitted to being a “hoarder” as she had trouble throwing stuff away. “Years of generations taught me that way. My grandma was a hoarder, my mom’s a hoarder,” she addressed during a December 2021 episode of the series. “I know what it’s like coming from a hoarder house, where you barely had a snake line to get through the house.”
Amy has kept a low profile on social media since she was arrested on September 2 on child endangerment and drug possession charges at Tennessee Safari Park in Alamo. Her arrest came after officials responded to a 911 call about a zoo guest who was bitten by a camel.
“An employee at the safari park called 911 reporting that they needed an ambulance because someone had been bit by a camel,” public information officer Stephen Sutton explained in a statement.

Amy had gone to the park with her two children, Gage, 3, and Glenn, 2 — whom she shares with her ex-husband, Michael Halterman — and a man named Brian Scott Lovvorn. When police and EMS responded to her camel bite, authorities noted that “deputies were immediately overwhelmed by suspicious odors” coming from her vehicle, according to a statement shared by the police department on Facebook at the time.
Police discovered “what they believed to be mushrooms” and “what they believed to be marijuana” inside Amy’s vehicle “in plain sight,” according to the officer’s report.

The Kentucky native was “arrested on illegal possession of Schedule I, illegal possession of Schedule VI, and two counts of child endangerment.” After being carried out of the zoo on a stretcher, Amy was arrested and “booked into the Crockett County Jail.”
Amy was released on September 3 after her brother, Chris Combs, posted a $10,000 bond. She and Brian appeared in court on September 5, where she pleaded not guilty to charges of drug possession and child endangerment. Amy is scheduled to return to Crockett County Court on November 7.
The YouTube star returned to Instagram on Wednesday, October 16, after taking a lengthy hiatus, sharing photos of her sons wearing matching Casper the Friendly Ghost Halloween pajamas.
