WARREN COUNTY, NJ — A car accident left one dead and another seriously injured this weekend in Warren County, according to state police. On Sunday, around 1 p.m., police were called out to County Road 519 in White Township on a report of a car crash. According to police, Luis Zhagnay, 29, was driving a Chevrolet southbound on County Road 519 when he veered off the road near milepost 41.2. Zhagnay attempted to swerve back onto the road, crossing over the double-yellow line and striking an SUV traveling northbound, police said. Authorities said the collision caused the Chevrolet to slam into a nearby utility pole. A passenger in the Chevrolet, Rosa Castro Zumba, 23, died as a result of the crash. Zhagnay was left with “serious” injuries, according to officials. Both individuals were from Lansdale, Pennsylvania.
