The bargain hunter spotted the item scanning for only £3
With spring officially here and the sun starting to shine over people’s gardens, many are planning to transform their homes.
A thrilled shopper spotted wooden deck tiles scanning for only £3 at the supermarket tills from the original price of £6.
The Blooma Adige tiles come in light brown and they are 40cm in length, 40cm width and 30mm thickness.
Made from wood, manufacturers said it is designed for use on garden paths, balconies, terraces and patios.
The bargain hunter took to the popular Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group to share the big find.
The user said she spotted the item at her local branch in Cumbernauld, Glasgow.
She added: “Decking tiles B&Q down to £3 from £6 – adding my receipt as yes they show at £6 online but are scanning at £3.
“I bought two here then went back for another two for my toddler’s playhouse decking.”
Sharing a picture of the receipt, she said: “Barcode on second image, this was Cumbernauld store – not here to argue about how they are showing online.”
All you need to do to set up the tiles is to level the base of the ground.
If you are screwing into joists, manufacturers recommend to make sure to drill holes first before placing the screws to prevent wood from cracking.
The post has now gathered hundreds of likes on social media with dozens of money-savers flocking to the comments section.
Many tagged their pals and family members to rush and nab theirs.
One user said: “This is what I mean for along the fence.”
Another added: “We need a trip to ASAP to B&Q and the flooring place.”
It comes as B&M slashed the price on a range of summer garden must-haves just in time for those bank holiday get-togethers.
The supermarket is offering deals for as much as 50% off heaters and fire pits.
How else can I save money at B&M?
Shoppers have saved hundreds of pounds a year by using B&M’s scanner app.
The scanner lets you see if an item’s price is cheaper than advertised on the shop floor label.
Products that are typically discounted are seasonal items and old stock that B&M is trying to shift.
The app is free to download off the B&M Stores mobile app via Google Play or the Apple App Store.
According to one ex-B&M manager, you’ll want to visit your local branch at 10am on a Wednesday too.
This is when staff slash items to as little as 10p to clear excess stock and make way for new products.
