Jeopardy! Champ Victoria Groce points to one ‘fact that gives hope’ The Chase renewal may be on the horizon
JEOPARDY! champion Victoria Groce has offered hope about The Chase being renewed for another season.
Before taking the win in the second Masters tournament, Victoria previously competed on The Chase back in 2022.

The Chase was another quiz show where three competitors compete against The Chaser, a quiz genius determined to stop them from winning cash prizes.
The View‘s Sara Haines, 46, hosted the program for three seasons.
Previous contestants included Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings, 50, and players James Holzhauer and Buzzy Cohen.
The last episode of The Chase aired in July 2023.
And now, in a Q&A session with Redditors, a fan asked the Masters champion if she had any news about future episodes of The Chase.
“I assume you may be under an NDA (non-disclosure agreement), but are there any beans you can spill about future episodes of The Chase, or is the show likely done for the moment?” one fan asked.
“We are kind of in limbo!” Victoria replied.
“We are neither canceled nor renewed.”
“I am hoping that the fact that we were asked to talk about it on Jeopardy! is a good sign,” she closed.
‘OUT OF THE BLUE’
Another fan asked if her success on The Chase became a “springboard to Jeopardy! domination.”
“I did NOT have a sense that I was going to get back on the show at any point,” the TV star – who appeared in four episodes – answered.
“It really was totally out of the blue.”
“My husband [Philip Groce] can vouch that I went around in a state of utter shock for days after the invitation,” Victoria continued.
“I don’t see The Chase specifically becoming a feeder for Jeopardy contestants just because of sheer numbers.”

BECOMING A MASTER
In mid-May, Victoria thwarted James’ chance for a repeat Masters win and gained a total score of $55,400 after two close-fought games.
The Jeopardy! champ was awarded $500,000, the coveted Trebek Trophy, and $100,000 for the charity Partners in Health for her tournament victory.
After hugs and handshakes were shared with James and Yogesh Raut, Victoria joined Ken to receive the Trebek Trophy.
Fans flooded X, formerly known as Twitter, with praise for the trio.
“Just saying it wouldn’t be a bad idea for ABC to do another season of The Chase with these three,” a commentator noted.
Victoria retweeted the post, teasing a return of the three finalists on The Chase.
