Jules, 54, posted a snap of himself holding a baby lamb on one of the farms he visited on Instagram.
Alongside this, he wrote a long essay giving his 61,000 followers an update of his latest projects.
He also admitted that filming has restarted for Escape To The Country.
He said: “And hello, May 1st . Can you believe we are this far already into the year? I felt like summer was arriving there for a day or so, but now I’m not so sure looking at today’s grey morning.
“Anyway, as you will probably know, I’ve been quite busy with my furniture making course for the beginning of 2024, and I have enjoyed reading all your feedback on my chair and the other ‘making’ updates.
“We’ve also had Springtime on the Farm, we’re still looking back at some of The Farm best bits with A Yorkshire Farm, and filming has started for Escape to the Country.
Jules also teased that he was going to show even more of himself and his work to his fans online.
He added: “So, here I am wondering what you would like to see some more of here on the Instagram and Facebook page. Let me know in the comments.
“I was going to say your wish is my command… but I’ll check out the requests before I make any promises .
“And let me know where you are in the world. It’s great to see where you all are around the globe.”
He has been a familiar face to BBC viewers for decades, but he told the Lyme Regis and Bridport News that he needed a break.
Jules explained how he’d signed up for a 12-week course in furniture-making in Lyme Regis at the Boat Building Academy.
The TV personality explained: “Late last year, I realised I was quite burnt out and needed a creative and emotional reset.
“My wife said, ‘Why don’t you take some time out and go to the Boat Building Academy?’.”
According to The Mirror, it caught his attention whilst filming Escape To The Country in 2012 and it has a special place in his heart.
He added: “I always wanted to return. But when you have a family and are working, life just moves on, and you go with it.”
He also confirmed that he will eventually be returning to the show, and this extended hiatus is just a temporary break.
