New MBTA Commuter Rail Schedules For Framingham-Worcester Line
WORCESTER, MA — The spring MBTA Commuter Rail schedules begin Monday, rearranging train departure and arrival times through the fall. The biggest change this spring for riders west of Framingham is the return of express trains out of Worcester — actually, that's train, as in one. The T effectively cut the morning and afternoon Heart To Hub express trains last fall, catching Worcester commuters and political leaders by surprise. The new express train will leave weekday mornings from Worcester at 7:40 a.m., arrive in Framingham at 8:06 a.m. and South Station by 8:45 a.m.For riders getting on between Grafton and Ashland, there will still be seven outbound trains before 10 a.m. each weekday. There will also still be three pseudo-express trains departing Worcester at 5:45, 6:30 and 7:07 a.m. each day that will hit every stop until West Natick before turning express. The spring/summers schedules typically stay in place until early October. See the new spring/summer Framingham-Worcester line Commuter Rail schedule here.
