The accident happened when two performers collided mid-air, causing one of them to land badly.
Fans feared the acrobatic star had broken his foot or worse after two performers collided mid-air, causing one of them to land badly.
One of his horrified co-stars paused their routine to check on him and he was spotted crawling off the stage at the end of the performance.
A spokesperson for Britain’s Got Talent told The Sun today: “During last night’s live final, a member of Ssaulabi Performance Troupe was injured.
“He was quickly seen by our onsite medical team before going to hospital for further treatment. All at BGT wish him a speedy recovery.”
Alesha Dixon appeared to be the only judge to react to the accident that will go down in BGT history, saying “I hope he is OK”.
Viewers also recoiled at the terrifying moment and were desperate to know if the star was alright.
One wrote on social media last night: “Did one of the performers just break their foot that looked serious #bgtfinal”.
Another tweeted: “This is ever so cool but did I just see mateyboi break his foot and crawl off? That’s gotta hurt #bgtfinal”
Despite the fall viewers were amazed by their routine which saw them smashing planks and being thrown into the air.
Another said: “My goodness! Just like the planks, they smashed it! (Sorry, I had to) I loved everything about this performance, the music choices in particular are amazing! In the nicest way possible, I genuinely didn’t think they could step up from their semi-final, but OMG they proved me wrong! Definitely their best performance to date!”
Ssaulabi lost out on the £250,000 prize and a slot at this year’s Royal Variety Performance to singer Sydnie Christmas.
Comedian Jack Rhodes came second, and dancers Abigail and Afronitaaa came in third place.
