The Girl Downstairs Japanese Dub Releases New PV Trailer & Voice Cast
A new PV trailer has been released for the upcoming Japanese broadcast of the donghua animated series The Girl Downstairs, which will premiere in Japan on Fuji TV’s B8station channel on July 3, 2024.
The trailer also previews the series’ main theme songs, with girl group SWEET REVENGE performing the opening theme “Might Just,” while Nijisanji VTuber group Nornis performs the ending theme “Yo ga Akeru made.”
Meanwhile, the Japanese language dub cast includes:
• Maaya Sakamoto as Mio Kisaragi/Doona
• Keisuke Komoto as Yo Sugiura/Joon
• Rumi Ookubo as Makoto Momoi
• Manami Numakura as Sara Mikuni
The Girl Downstairs donghua series was first streamed on bilibili in April 2023 and currently has 22 episodes. It was produced at RED DOG CULTURE HOUSE and directed by Dong Yi. Ju Ju is credited as co-screenwriter, along with Yi.
The series is based on a South Korean manhwa webtoon series by Min Songa and was serialized on Naver’s WEBTOON platform from July 17, 2019 to July 13, 2022. Five physical volumes have been released as of October 2023. The manhwa is published in English digitally by Line Webtoon. A live-action TV series premiered on Netflix on October 20, 2023.
