Titan Manga Publishes The Five Star Stories Volume 1 Manga in March 2026

Titan Manga has officially announced that it will be publishing the first volume of Mamoru Nagano’s The Five Star Stories in English on March 3, 2026.
Anime News Network first reported that Titan Manga would release the series in English during the Newtype panel at Anime Expo 2025. Its initial release date was first announced as “March 2026.”

Nagano first serialized the long-running science fiction manga in Kadokawa’s Newtype magazine on April 10, 1986. Eighteen tankobon volumes, consisting of six major story arcs, have been released as of March 2025. The series has gone on several hiatuses since 2006 and has been published intermittently since its first debut. Toyspress, a company co-founded by Nagano, released most of the manga in English.
The manga also inspired a 1989 anime film adaptation from Sunrise that covers the first story arc, Destiny Three Fates: Lachesis. ADV Films released the film in North America in 2005.
Titan Manga describes the main synopsis of The Five Star Stories as:
Experience the legendary Five Star Stories franchise with this first volume, where Mamoru Nagano’s intricate world-building, powerful mechs, and a gripping cosmic saga set the stage for an unforgettable, epic adventure across the stars.
In Vol. 1, we meet Amaterasu, the immortal emperor of the Grees Kingdom, and his destined bride, Lachesis, as they navigate a world of intrigue, warfare, and forbidden power. As interstellar conflict rages, the stage is set for a war that could determine the fate of the galaxy.
The first volume is now available to pre-order from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Forbidden Planet for the U.K. and Europe.
