Coronation Street star Colson Smith teased working closely with a fellow co-star was the ‘worst’ day of his life.
During the latest episode of Drama Queens, which takes viewers behind the drama of some of soap’s most recognisable actresses, the Craig Tinker actor caught up with actress and friend Lucy Fallon (Bethany Platt).
‘Do you remember how we became friends?,’ Lucy asked Colson.
‘Christmas 2016,’ he replied.
After a back and forth over the exact date, Lucy asked Colson why he ‘blanked’ her for a year.
‘I don’t know but when we became friends it was all worth it,’ he said.

‘And then they put us together,’ Lucy joked.
‘Yeah worst day of my life,’ Colson quipped.
The actor, who has been on Corrie since 2011, recently came in 3rd place behind Strictly star Nikita Kuzmin and Ibiza Weekender rep David Potts in ITV’s revival of Celebrity Big Brother.
During his time on the show he came to blows with Reggae Reggae Sauce inventor Levi Roots who branded his behaviour as ‘boring’.
But there’s no rest for the wicked – despite the live final airing on Friday evening, he’s had only the weekend to recover before donning his police uniform again.

In a video posted to Coronation Street’s Instagram story, Colson, 25, thanked fans for their support and said he was ‘buzzing’ to be back.
‘Hello everyone, it’s Colson and I am back on the cobbles today after three weeks away in the Big Brother house’ he began.
‘I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported me during my time away – all the messages of support have been amazing,’
‘I’ve absolutely loved my time as a housemate but I’m so buzzing to be back playing Craig Tinker on the streets of Weatherfield because there’s someone who’s got to keep them safe, isn’t there? That’s me, and I’m back’ he added.
He also posted a series of stories to his own socials, including pictures of his scripts, commenting on the Mancunian rain and another saying it was ‘nice to be back home’.
