Is Whitney Rose part of a multi-level marketing scheme? According to various viral TikToks, yes. However, as it stands, the claims in these TikToks remain alleged. For those unaware, multi-level marketing schemes, or MLMs, are sales strategies that rely on individuals selling products and recruiting others as salespeople. While not technically illegal, MLMs often function as pyramid schemes, which are absolutely illegal. So, how deep is the water for Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s biggest bath-stirrer and businesswoman?
What is Sol People and how is Whitney Rose involved?

From October 5 to October 7, TikToker @carlyesquerra posted a series of videos implicating Whitney Rose in an alleged MLM. As Carly wrote in one TikTok, “It all started when I joined a brand new network marketing company ‘led’ by Whitney Rose & Ashley Headlee called Sol People.”
For reference, “sōl people” is a real brand and Whitney’s involvement is undeniable. Her face is all over the website. Carly shared that she “entered into the business during the pre-launch phase” and invited her friends as well. Everything seemed right with her products, management, and earnings.
Things soon shifted. Carly noted, “2 of my leads left the company … They had personal convictions based on some of the digital courses.” From there, Carly had alleged text conversations with Whitney to regroup after the team leads unexpectedly left. She posted screenshots of these alleged communications, trying to coordinate virtual meetings.
Carly and her team then signed on for a sōl people conference which was unexpectedly rescheduled with transferrable, non-refundable tickets. The company did not refund the plane and hotel accommodations that Carly and her friends had already made. Carly and her teammates received $100 in product credit as consolation.
Does Whitney have a track record of shady business dealings?

Soon after, two more top leaders allegedly left the company. “Safe to say when top leaders making $20k in a month leave- there’s more to the story…” Carly wrote. In another TikTok, Carly said she received a TikTok, presumably about sōl people specifically. “I am in utter shock at the … behind the scenes of this business and the track record of these people.”
“I would have never known to look into this stuff,” she continued. “And now that I’m learning about it, I am mind-blown. Basically, every single person within this business of sōl people are like scammers.” Carly gave Whitney the benefit of the doubt and supposed she was being “drugged along” [sic], but presumed she was “in on all the knowledge.”
Carly also claimed that Whitney’s husband had past experience with multiple prosecuted companies. “Awakened. Look into it,” Carly concluded. As of writing this article – October 7 at 4 pm ET – Carly has yet to post anything else. Still, what she has posted took TikTok and the Housewives community by storm.
Even though MLMs as a concept aren’t technically illegal, even the most above-board multi-level marketing schemes can ruin a person’s life. The high-pressure and shady practices should be condemned. If Whitney is involved in an MLM, she deserves to be called out on it.
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City continues Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
