Yellowstone' Trailer Gives a Glimpse of the Fighting and Kissing
Is that Rip taking someone to the Train Station?
K.L. Connie Wang
When Season 5 of Yellowstone premiered on Nov. 13, 2022, no one thought we'd have to wait almost two years before seeing the conclusion of the same season. If anything, we would have hoped to see a Season 6 premiere by now. But with writers and actors strikes plaguing Hollywood in 2023 and production delays likely at least in part due to Kevin Costner's very public rumored feud with Taylor Sheridan, the back half of Season 5 finally filmed earlier this year.
Costner ultimately decided to walk away from the series to concentrate on making his epic four-part movie series, Horizon: An American Saga, the first of which was released in June.

Fans can breathe a sigh of relief as the wait is almost over. Season 5B will premiere on Sunday, Nov. 10 on Paramount Network. Even lovers of Christmas movie might want to take a break from Hallmark's holiday fare to see how they'll write out John Dutton (Costner) from the remainder of the episodes.
The upcoming season is likely to set even more viewership records as the appetite for the Western drama has only grown during the hiatus. CBS aired the series last year as filler for a strike-bare lineup and 7 million weekly viewers showed up to watch reruns.
Even with the show ending, there are several other Yellowstone spinoffs to fill the void. Prequel series 1883 and 1923 are available to stream on Paramount+, while 1943 and The Madison (formerly 2024) are in the works. There have also been rumors of a possible sixth season of the show. There are plenty of stories to be told even without John Dutton looming presence. Between Beth's (Kelly Reilly) brutal honesty and Jamie's (Wes Bentley) slick snake-oil salesman ways to the comedy from the Bunkhouse Boys and the tragic upbringing of Carter (Finn Little), the rest of the cast can certainly hold their own to take the show into a sixth season and beyond.

Based on the trailer released this week, the final episodes of Season 5 promise to be just as intense as the show has been since its initial release June 20, 2018. We got peeks at plenty of fighting and kissing, sacrificing all for the good of the land, and is that Rip (Cole Hauser) sending someone to the Train Station? Check out the trailer below and tune in Sunday, Nov. 10 at 8 p.m. ET on Paramount Network for the mid-season premiere of Yellowstone.
