Knight defeated Logan Paul, who had held the title for 279 days. Paul defended the title only twice before facing Knight. Despite fan criticism for Paul’s title reign, reports indicate that backstage officials viewed this positively, appreciating the extensive publicity Paul brought to the championship through his numerous high-profile appearances.
Since claiming the WWE United States Championship, Knight has actively defended it on the WWE SmackDown brand. He has faced Santos Escobar, Ludwig Kaiser, and Andrade in three successful title defenses since winning at WWE SummerSlam. However, despite being a fighting champion, WWE hasn’t booked him into a feud.

While Orton fulfills his peacemaker duties, recent reports indicate that WWE is planning a potential feud between him and United States Champion LA Knight. In a recent Q&A with Sportskeeda, Joe Lowry from WrestleVotes revealed WWE’s intention to have Knight face off against Orton.
