Groton Man Had 'Significant Volume' Of Child Abuse Material: Police

GROTON, CT — A Groton man is facing charges after police said they found he had "a significant volume of child sexual abuse material, including images and videos."Police and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force began an investigation after receiving a tip through the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in July. Police identified Anthony Zohlman, 29, of Groton, as a suspect in the case. Officers executed a search warrant on Zohlman's mobile device. A forensic examination of the device uncovered child sexual abuse material, police said.Police took Zohlman into custody Feb. 28 and charged him with first-degree child pornography possession. He was held on $100,000 cash or surety bond. Zohlman was arraigned in New London Superior Court on Monday.The arrest comes after a months-long investigation by various law enforcement agencies focused on catching those who exploit children.
