After declining Team India's head coach job, VVS Laxman set to leave his post as NCA chairman: Report
Indian cricket is set to undergo major changes soon. Apart from having a new head coach, India will also have a new chairman of the National Cricket Academy (NCA). The Telegraph India has reported that VVS Laxman will not continue as the chairman of NCA. He has informed the BCCI about it, the report adds.Laxman joined NCA as its chief in December 2021 for a three-year period. He worked with India U-19 and India A team during this period. The Indian legend also coached the national team whenever Rahul Dravid took a break.Laxman was expected to take over as the head coach of Team India after the end of Dravid's contract but he has declined the top job. He also had to shift his base to Bengaluru. He is likely to make his return to the commentary box after the end of his stint as the NCA Chairman.Laxman could also make his return to IPL. He had a successful stint as the mentor of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) from IPL 2013 to 2021.
