Dating series for virgins slammed as ‘most dystopian’ reality show yet

Just weeks after Milf Manor returned to our screens for a second season, a new dating show has been announced that might be even more unhinged.
TV bosses are reportedly casting for a new Hulu series named Virgin Island, following a group of – you guessed it – virgins, as they attempt to find ‘the one’ in paradise.
According to multiple US outlets, the ‘stunningly attractive and confident’ group of singletons will have 10 episodes to find a love match, while going on dates, romantic activities and enjoying adventures together – in and out of the bedroom.
Unsurprisingly, viewers can expect lots of deep conversations, ‘flirty encounters’ and unpredictable ‘drama’.
The synopsis, via Variety, promises that ‘as the cast finds heartfelt connections and explores their varying reasons for waiting, there will be plenty of unexpected twists’.
This will all ‘culminate in a dramatic finale where burgeoning relationships are put to the test’.

It is unclear when the show will air, or even begin filming, but applications are currently open for celibate singles wanting to inhabit Virgin Island.
TV fans were left baffled by the dating show premise and flocked to social media to unpack the announcement.
Taking to Twitter, Pebbles fumed: ‘FFS the last thing we need is another dating show where pathetic and desperate men and women embarrass themselves on national TV.’
Josh Axelrod agreed: ‘…That’s the most dystopian reality TV tagline of all time. Maybe moving images on a screen was a bad idea after all.’

RG3 joked: ‘This sounds like a joke from 30 Rock.’
While Jenn Nixon had a logistical thought for producers, simply adding: ‘How they gonna check that? [sic].’
If you need something else to fill the void until Virgin Island premieres, Love Island USA will be heading back for a sixth season – and some big changes.
A new batch of contestants will be looking for love in sunny Fiji, joined by new host Ariana Madix.
After Modern Family icon Sarah Hyland had to back out of presenting duties due to scheduling conflicts, the Vanderpump Rules favorite took her place.

She will be switching Something About Her for the infamous villa when Love Island kicks off on June 11, with Iain Stirling returning as narrator.
If that’s not enough, Love Island UK is coming back for season 11 on June 3, with Maya Jama guaranteeing that they will be ‘coming in hot’.
It is officially the summer of love!
