Ole Miss pulls off the rare double flip, landing Miami (Ohio) running back Rashad Amos
Ole Miss continues to build a championship roster via the NCAA Transfer Portal. On Saturday, Lane Kiffin and Co., added Miami (Ohio) running back Rashad Amos. The former Redhawk initially committed to Mississippi State before flipping to Colorado.
Once some uncertainty showed for recent running back commit Jacory Merritt, Ole Miss quickly got on the horn and contacted Amos. He visited Oxford, Miss., earlier this week and quickly announced his flipped commitment.
The former South Carolina transfer played in 13 games with the Gamecocks before leaving for Oxford, Ohio. The 6-foot-2, 234 pound prospect then had a breakout year in 2023 with the RedHawks.
Amos rushed for 1,075 yards and 13 touchdowns last season. He ranked third in the Mid-American Conference in rushing yards and finished second in touchdowns. The newest Rebel will have two years of eligibility remaining.

Rashad Amos is a former three-star recruit.
Amos topped 100 yards four times this past year. He had a career-high 180 rushing yards on 33 carries against Appalachian State in the Cure Bowl December 2. During his time with South Carolina, he only totaled 106 yards rushing on 20 carries.
The Fayetteville, Ga., prospect played his high school ball at Sandy Creek. There, he ran for 1,324 yards with 30 touchdowns as a senior. Also added 478 receiving yards and six more scores, helping the Patriots to a 12-2 record and a spot in the state GHSAA 4A semifinals.
