Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles is the top hospital in California, according to the new 2025-2026 Best Hospitals ranking released Tuesday by U.S. News and World Report.Cedars-Sinai Medical Center ranks nationally in 11 specialties including No. 6 in cardiology, heart and vascular surgery. It is high performing in 22 procedures/conditions. For its 36th annual report, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,440 hospitals based on their performance across 30 medical and surgical services. California’s other top hospitals are:UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles is nationally ranked in 14 specialties including No. 2 in ear, nose and throat and No. 4 in pulmonology and lung surgery. It is high performing in 22 procedures/conditions.UCSF Health-UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco is nationally ranked in 13 specialties including No. 2 in both geriatrics and in neurology and neurosurgery surgery. It is high performing in 21 procedures/conditions.Stanford Health Care-Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto is nationally ranked in 11 specialties including No. 4 in ear, nose and throat and No. 7 in orthopedics. It is high performing in 22 procedures/conditions.These hospitals are also among the 504 Best Regional Hospitals across 49 states and 95 metro areas ranked by U.S. News.
