Southington Coat Drive Collects Hundreds
SOUTHINGTON, CT — The recently completed "Operation Stay Warm" campaign has proven to be wildly successful, with hundreds of winter coats collected to help those in need.Southington Community Services has said the campaign was able to boost the department's inventory of warm winter coats to 620 total.They will be distributed to those in need starting this fall and winter.Southington Community Services thanked those who donated time, money and coats during the initiative."This would not be possible without the support and participation of all our community partners who hosted a donation box," wrote the department.While the campaign has ended, community services has not stopped accepting donations of any kind, including coats."Your generosity will help ensure that Southington residents of all ages will be properly outfitted for the upcoming winter season," said the department.They can be dropped off at the department's office at 91 Norton St., Plantsville.For more information on Southington Community Services, click on this link.The article Southington Coat Drive Collects Hundreds appeared first on Southington, CT Patch.
