Main Street Crossing Closes For Track Replacement
GLEN ELLYN, IL — Glen Ellyn's Main Street Metra crossing will remain temporarily closed as crews work to replace train tracks. The upgrades began May 29, with detours in place to redirect traffic. Pedestrians will still be able to use the crossing during most of the work, according to an update from village officials. The following traffic changes will also be in effect for the duration of the track replacement. One-way traffic eastbound on Crescent from Prospect to Glenwood One-way traffic westbound on Pennsylvania from Forest to Park One-way traffic northbound on Glenwood from Pennsylvania to Crescent It's expected the project will impact traffic through June 7.
