Offensive linemen highlight second Purdue football prospects camp
Purdue held it second and final Prospect Camp on Wednesday, welcoming over 100 high school players from across the 2025, 2026, 2027 and 2028 classes.
The camp was highlighted by a raft of offensive linemen who were watched closely by staffers. Two 2025 recruits were scrutinized: Avery Huggins of Westfield (Ind.) High and Kuol Kuol of Centerville (Ohio) High. But neither is expected to be offered.
Some 2026 recruits stood out, including WR Seth Elchert of Liberty-Benton High in Findlay, Ohio, and ILBs CJ Sanna of Olentangy High in Lewis Center, Ohio, Trevor Gibbs of Crown Point (Ind.) High, and Aaden Aytch of Lafayette (Ind.) Jeff.
Could any of those 2026 recruits earn offers?
One camper had a notable last name: 2026 rush end Niko Karlaftis, the younger brother of George and Yanni. The youngest Karlaftis plays at West Lafayette (Ind.) High.
Last Sunday, Purdue held a Prospect Camp, as well as a camp for specialists on Saturday. The camp season will close for Purdue with a team camp on June 19.
Just one player left Purdue’s Sunday Prospect Camp with an offer: 2026 Louisville (Ky.) Male RB Chayce Burton. On Saturday, the staff extended a PWO offer to long-snapper Claude Strnad, and he accepted.
Purdue’s 2025 class has six commitments, growing by one last Sunday when RB Jaron Thomas of Elkhart (Ind.) Concord High committed.
