Former President Donald Trump is faking his support for cannabis reform as a campaign ploy, bipartisan members of Congress on both sides of the legalization debate—including Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Andy Harris (R-MD)—suggested in interviews with Marijuana Moment.
A new federal marijuana workplace safety program from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration aims to “reduce the incidence of serious health and physical injury or death from hazards associated with cannabis processing, growing, cultivating and product manufacturing facilities.”
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services is under fire for “raiding” a Veterans of Foreign Wars post over THC hemp drinks on 9/11 “immediately after lowering our flag to half-staff in remembrance of the thousands of lives taken from us 23 years ago.”

The South Dakota marijuana legalization campaign expressed confidence that its measure on the November ballot will be approved by voters.
California regulators are being sued by a former official who says she was fired from her job overseeing cannabis testing labs for raising concerns about growers applying pressure for favorable results. Separately, regulators announced a recall of marijuana products due to the presence of the pesticide paclobutrazol.
Washington State regulators adopted rules on marijuana excise tax exemptions for medical cannabis patients.
Michigan regulators posted a monthly report of disciplinary actions taken against marijuana businesses.
