Tom Brady suffers ‘tough weekend’ in new sporting investment as defiant NFL legend declares ‘we will be back’
TOM Brady is hoping to turn the tide after his latest venture had an off weekend.
The NFL icon, 46, won seven Super Bowls in a stellar career with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Since retiring, he has moved into the booth with FOX Sports and invested his money in other sports.
One of those is E1 racing – essentially Formula One on the water.
Team Brady started well in Marbella but finished ninth in qualifying and could not progress to Sunday’s final round on Sunday.
“Kicked off with a strong qualifying start; however, a power failure coupled with damage sustained in a tough battle led to a did-not-finish (DNF) status and a third-place finish in the semifinals,” Team Brady posted on Instagram.
“We will learn, improve, and be in better shape for the next race.”
Brady, who also invested in English soccer team Birmingham City, shared the post with the caption: “Tough weekend, we’ll be back!”
Emma Kimilainen and Sam Coleman are behind the wheel for Team Brady.
Finish racing driver Kimilainen, 34 made her name in W Series.
Welsh pilot Coleman is a two-time UK and one-time US champion in P1 Powerboat racing.
Brady’s team were top of the standings going into the weekend after sealing victory in Venice.
But Team Miami overtook them with their triumph in Marbella.
There are four more races on the calendar with the next in Geneva on June 30.
FOX Sports host Colin Cowherd thinks Brady will be a very different broadcaster from fellow ex-NFL quarterback-turned-game analyst Tony Romo.
“The traits and the habits that created the quarterback will probably create the same broadcaster,” he said on his FS1 show The Herd.
“I’ll give you an example, I thought Tony Romo was always underrated as a quarterback.
“He got a lot of criticism, I thought he was very good, but he was loose.
“It was often instinct over details and prep. Flashy, really gifted, underrated, really talented, a bit of an ad-libber, feelings over facts.
“And as a broadcaster I feel the same way. He’s a risk taker, calls out plays, sometimes makes weird sounds.
“I’m not sure which direction he’s going, but by the end of it, it’s usually wildly entertaining.
“Then there’s Tom Brady, who as a player was meticulous and thorough.
“A people pleaser and detailed. And that’s what I think you’ll get as a broadcaster.
“Brady will be the opposite of Tony Romo and you can pick your favorite.
“They’ll both make a lot of money, they’ll both be very good.
“But they will be opposites as broadcasters and you can pick your favorite.”
